Hey all, sorry, had been away for so long.  Sometimes have so many things going on and so many thoughts, not sure what to write. Life update is that we've moved out of the in-laws place, and renting an apartment in the city.  It's not brand new. No lifts, and we live on the top floor, but it's my home now. Just recently been in hospital for stomach ulcers causing internal bleeding.  Nightmare, when you wasn't allowed to eat or drink for 4 days.  But I'm back home now, but only this morning, I discovered I now have a gout attack.  FML. Anyway, life continues to surprise or annoy me in new and fascinating ways. Mimi is still with us by the way, always staying loyal and guarding. Until next time.

Just an update.  I know it has been a while, but Amelie is in hospital with some bad virus.  Hopefully, she will get better soon...

Had a very bad day yesterday when my PS3 Slim decided to go beserk and not work.  Nothing would start, the main menu would freeze, haven't a clue on what happened to cause it (other than the fact I was downloading an add-on in the background for Batman Arkham Asylum).  Anyhow, feeling frustrated, I decided to leave it for the night, and look at it again in the morning. After some Googling, I found this site with information on starting the PS3 in "safe-mode", thereby giving you the options shown in the picture above.  I have all options in the order above, only having to restore the PS3 system as my last resort.  All worked well, and now the PS3 is back in business! But....lost a lot of my previous game data, which means I would need to play 200+ hours again to get back all the saved game data which was wiped out during the system restore. Ah well....better get started then!

Sudden need for Scotch Eggs ....man, I miss food back home....

Yes! Graduation day for Amelie, and another 4 hour frenzy of performances with singing and dancing by the children. Amelie's role today was the "Rainbox Queen" in her class's performance. Most proud and impressed with Amelie today! Lets hope you stay good for the coming years at school! More photos here .

Our last and final day in Hong Kong, really enjoyed the vacation and will miss uncles and aunts a lot. Thank you all again, hope to see you all soon. Wish you all good luck and good health!

After a slaughter of a day at Disneyland, its time for dinner with the family. This time at Shanghai Por Por (or Grandma Shanghai). Enjoyed the food here, especially the tomato soup beef noodles and the spring onion pastry! More photos here .

As promised to Amelie, today we went to Disneyland Hong Kong. Did you know it was their five anniversary? Time certainly flies quick! It was a scorcher of a day, with sun beating down hard on our heads. But luckily for Amelie we found a way to keep her cool...using prepared iced water bottles, towels and a 4 wheel vehicle which she not used since she was 3 years old! More photos here .

Breakfast time, Hong Kong style with all kinds of dim sum (點心) before our long day at Disneyland. Mostr intriguing are these spring rolls, served in a glass cup! Go figure! More photos here .

Decided to take it easy today, since Amelie is not feeling too well with some diarrhea and barfing tendancies with anything she eats. Ah well, I still managed to nip to the local shops and bought this god-send of char-siew and crispy roast pork rice (叉燒,燒肉飯). Its the best I have ever had! I want more! More photos here .

Just a visit to my uncle's home and also to pay my respects at my grandpa's shrine today, God rest his soul. Amelie seems to warm up a little more to my uncle now, especially now that my uncles has a cats and turtles living with him! More photos here .

It certainly has been a long time since I was here at Ocean Park, and at lot has changed! The best part is the new aquarium full of stingrays, sharks and tuna, all swimming around, absolutely awesome! I recommend anyone in Hong Kong to go there and see the attractions. They even had pandas and really cool jellyfish which Amelie loves. More photos here .
