Serenity

God, grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardships as a pathway to peace taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it, trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will. So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen http://www.coping.org/control/letgo.htm

Account Picture Disappeared!

Looks like my usual Son Goku picture has disappeared from my Lycos server. Yes, I used to have a website there, but that was a long time ago. They could have at least told me that they was going to close my account down...

Happy Birthday Jimbo!

Just a quick birthday wish to my brother Jimmy, who is 27 today (same age as me now, for a couple of months). Hope everything is going alright for you and that you are having fun in your newly married life!

Still Alive

Hi folks, Sorry for not updating the blog recently (its been like 2 months now!). Have been busy with many different things. So here's a quick post to let you know I'm still alive, albeit in a lot of pain. Recently visited the dentist and took out a wisdom tooth that was causing a lot of bother. Now that its taken out, its still causing bother because I developed a high fever the very next day. The fever is gone now, but the mouth still feels rather sore and painful. Bread and baby food for me in the next few days I think. I will try to get the back-posts updated onto the blog. Its almost 2 months worth of post and photos, so it may take a while. In the meantime, here's a summary: - Wisdom tooth taken out, in extreme pain. Congrats to Bhavesh and Pragna on tying the knot! Got in touch with a blast from the past, Mark Corlett (formerly known as Mark Horrocks), geez your eldest is starting school soon?!? Happy Mother's Day! (13/05/2007) Brother-in-law is back livin...

New Sogo

During the Chinese New Year holidays, there wasn't much to do, so we went to the newly opened Sogo in the city centre. The building looked very modern, and I was quite impressesed with the design on the exterior with it soothing turquoise colours. The new Sogo is only across the road from the old one, which is still opened for business. But if you want the high quality, designer label things, I suggest you go to the new one to fulfil your shopping requirements. I was even more surprised to find a small Japanese garden on one of the floor in this new shopping mall. They certainly spend a lot of money on this building. Amelie as usual was running around in the new place and exploring its different corners. She evern tried to get into the Japanese garden, which was out of bounds. I think the Japanese garden was a Feng-Shui thing. I didnt think the owners would be impressed if Amelie went into the garden and disturbed their cosmic balance! There many things there amongst the expen...

Happy Chinese New Year! Usher In The Year Of The Golden Pig

Happy Chinese New Year! Another Chinese New Year in Taiwan, and as usual, I get into the kitchen and rustle up a dinner. I've been particularly lazy, so didnt really put too much effort this year. We had an addition of the sister-in-law this as she as returned to Taiwan, so another to deal with for the coming new year. The good thing is that we get a whole week off from work. Its a good thing I guess, having some time off from work, but the other side of the coin is that I'm at home most of the time in the presence of my in-laws. Hmm...nevermind. Happy Chinese New Year you all, I hope this year bring you all much good luck, good health and good fortune!

Art.com - Art Pad

Marian sent me this link . Its an online art canvas where, when you are in an artistic mood, you can go there and paint yourself a picture without having to dig out the oil paints, easel and getting the living room all messy. The best part is that there is an "undo" button in case you made a wrong slip of the virtual art brush. If only life had an "undo" button, it would be pretty sweet...well, since there isn't, paint yourself a picture! Here's one I did earlier. What do you think?
