Back in Taiwan and had lunch in the Dong-Hu area at a hot pot (火鍋) restaurant. Not had this in a long time, so it was really food to enjoy this with colleagues and friends, especially on a Wintery day in Taipei (it did actually go down 8 degrees centigrade at one point). More photos here .

This time is was my turn to go to Taiwan to get my visa sorted out. While I was away, Amelie visited Chester for the day with her mother. I haven't been to Chester since I was 7 years old! Perhaps I should make a trip there sometime.

Teaching Amelie to ten-pin bowl was so hard. She was too small to pick up the heavy bowling balls, so we had to use the roller rail. I think she got a good score using the that!

Amelie's first Halloween party, dress as a very Japanese witch. Thanks to Michelle and Dipesh for hosting it. We have a great time! More photos here .

Amelie's favourite dish is got to be spaghetti, or "Red Noodles" as she calls it. She can have it almost every day! Shame about her eating etiquette, such a messy eater! Its OK, just clean up afterwards OK?
