Gout Recovery...

...is getting there. After watching X-Men III on Friday night, the right foot was feeling rather painful, and by the middle of Friday night, it was throbbing with pain. Luckily I had medicine from UK with me, so took those straight-away and (to my wife's annoyance) kept my foot up for most of the weekend and resting it as much as possible. The resting of the foot certainly helped as well as the medication. I went to the doctors yesterday to see a specialist, and she required me to have a blood test to check for levels of uric acid (as well as other stuff too) just to make sure the kidneys livers are in working order. Fingers-crossed!
This morning the swelling has gone down considerably and I can put a little more weight on the foot so walking would now be possible. Hopefully I should be fine for walking tomorrow if I get another day's foot rest.
On X-men III, I recommend you to go and see it. As usual it has all the great special effects and snidey jokes from Logan which keeps the audience tickled.

Amelie Back In Taiwan, Reunion With Mister Donuts

Amelie finally back in Taiwan!  Have missed her for three months, but have been busy at work, not had chance to catch up with her.  However, Amelie did some catching up herself...with her favourite Mister Donuts! You must cut down on those foods!

Its been a while!

Hey all, sorry, had been away for so long.  Sometimes have so many things going on and so many thoughts, not sure what to write. Life update is that we've moved out of the in-laws place, and renting an apartment in the city.  It's not brand new. No lifts, and we live on the top floor, but it's my home now. Just recently been in hospital for stomach ulcers causing internal bleeding.  Nightmare, when you wasn't allowed to eat or drink for 4 days.  But I'm back home now, but only this morning, I discovered I now have a gout attack.  FML. Anyway, life continues to surprise or annoy me in new and fascinating ways. Mimi is still with us by the way, always staying loyal and guarding. Until next time.

Goodbye P-100

I'm just going to upload the last ever set of photos from our loyal Sony P-100. I will update this post tomorrow. Yup, the Sony P-100 is a gonna. It ain't gonna rise from the ashes, this time... For now here are some photos taken today around Taipei using the Sony P-100 before the evening's accident, which involved Chien-yu, her foot and the hard marble floor we have in our room. We now got a good excuse to get a new, better digital camera. Its going to have to be a Sony one though, because I invested in a 1GB memory stick. Need to make use of that as much as I can! Sigh, money, money and more money.
