Weekend In Hsin Chu...Again

Yep, last weekend, within two weeks of returning from the UK, my oh so considerate (please note the sarcastic tone) father-in-law thought we should endure a weekend in Hsin Chu once again.

I didn't really mind, but the fact that I was still jet-lagged and at work we were entering into an important part of our project, I really needed the weekend to relax a little. Actually, we all needed the weekend to take a breather and relax, but God thought we don't suffer enough and behold, the father-in-law is sent onto us.

Anyway, I don't really want to go into it, but be sure, I was not a happy bunny. So I took it on myself just keep myself busy by taking more photos. The theme at first was Taiwan's fruits. We stopped by a big fruit stand, and there was a lot of fruits on display, many of which you cannot buy back in UK.

One particular strange one is called "Dragon Fruit" (literally translated). The flesh inside is either red or white, and has what looks like little black sesame seeds, which are edible, otherwise you will be there for ever to pick the seeds out!

Ok, enough fruits, that was Saturday's activities. Sunday, while Chien-yu and Amelie was taking an afternoon sleep, I ventured outside of the old village house and walked along the main road and pictures of the surrounding area. The sun shining with a little bit of breeze. I think I needed the walk just to get out of the house and relax a little.

Amelie Back In Taiwan, Reunion With Mister Donuts

Amelie finally back in Taiwan!  Have missed her for three months, but have been busy at work, not had chance to catch up with her.  However, Amelie did some catching up herself...with her favourite Mister Donuts! You must cut down on those foods!

Going Japanese

After a bit of a battle in the bathroom with Amelie, she chose to go Japanese tonight. Chien took some pictures, and I thought I'd like to share them. Enjoy!

Goodbye P-100

I'm just going to upload the last ever set of photos from our loyal Sony P-100. I will update this post tomorrow. Yup, the Sony P-100 is a gonna. It ain't gonna rise from the ashes, this time... For now here are some photos taken today around Taipei using the Sony P-100 before the evening's accident, which involved Chien-yu, her foot and the hard marble floor we have in our room. We now got a good excuse to get a new, better digital camera. Its going to have to be a Sony one though, because I invested in a 1GB memory stick. Need to make use of that as much as I can! Sigh, money, money and more money.
