Happy Boxing Day!


Back in UK, everyone is taking the day off, and probably recovering from the Christmas aftermath today. But for me, I'm in the office working as usual. Man, I miss these Christmas holidays! Christmas just isn't the same overseas. Especially in Taiwan. Definately lacking the feel of Christmas around the neighbourhood, but the retailers around here still use is as a commercial tool to get us spending. Curses! Nevertheless, we still have a Christmas tree and presents to unwrapped.

Today, Chien took the family (excluding me, since I'm working) to Taipei Zoo. Apparently Amelie was very happy to see many different animals and managed to name most of them too. She has seen them in her readining books, so she knows an Elephant when she sees one! Anyway, here are some pictures taken on the day.

Its been a while!

Hey all, sorry, had been away for so long.  Sometimes have so many things going on and so many thoughts, not sure what to write. Life update is that we've moved out of the in-laws place, and renting an apartment in the city.  It's not brand new. No lifts, and we live on the top floor, but it's my home now. Just recently been in hospital for stomach ulcers causing internal bleeding.  Nightmare, when you wasn't allowed to eat or drink for 4 days.  But I'm back home now, but only this morning, I discovered I now have a gout attack.  FML. Anyway, life continues to surprise or annoy me in new and fascinating ways. Mimi is still with us by the way, always staying loyal and guarding. Until next time.

Amelie Back In Taiwan, Reunion With Mister Donuts

Amelie finally back in Taiwan!  Have missed her for three months, but have been busy at work, not had chance to catch up with her.  However, Amelie did some catching up herself...with her favourite Mister Donuts! You must cut down on those foods!
