Still Alive

Hi folks,

Sorry for not updating the blog recently (its been like 2 months now!). Have been busy with many different things. So here's a quick post to let you know I'm still alive, albeit in a lot of pain.

Recently visited the dentist and took out a wisdom tooth that was causing a lot of bother. Now that its taken out, its still causing bother because I developed a high fever the very next day. The fever is gone now, but the mouth still feels rather sore and painful. Bread and baby food for me in the next few days I think.

I will try to get the back-posts updated onto the blog. Its almost 2 months worth of post and photos, so it may take a while. In the meantime, here's a summary: -

  2. Congrats to Bhavesh and Pragna on tying the knot!

  8. Sister-in-law lost her job too. Marvelous.

  10. Antia, keep up the good work! Nail those English essays!
  11. Developed our alternative gender names at my workplace. I have been going around being know as "Shelia".
  12. Have been keeping my left eye on one project, my right eye on another, and my heart in another project.
  13. Went to Taipei Zoo some time after Chinese New Year, photos to come.
  14. Went to see the lantern festival at C.K.S. Memorial Hall, pictures to come soon.
  15. Almost completed the Shu team on "Dynasty Warriors 5" on the PS2.
  16. I got a mattress and then returned it within 4 days. There goes my beauty sleep.
  17. Been told I'm going to be a team lead soon...feeling nervous.
  18. Got a set of fake teeth.
  19. Because of teeth problems, haven't eaten rice for a whole month.
  20. Complaining too much as usual.
I'm sure there's more to say, but I can't think right know because of the pain in my head right now...dammit!

Hope you are all well!

Rainy Weekend

What a way to end the weekend, being soaked top-to-bottom in heavy rain! It came very suddenly and we just wanted to get home, so we took the chance and ran all the way home in the rain. It was refreshing actually, I have had a lot on my mind recently and the being soaked certainly gave the brain a bit of a reboot. But then I realised Taiwan rain is quite acidic, not a good thing. Anyhow, I have updated my homepage with something useful for the lunch hours. Its a random lunch selector, which basically displays a picture of a local eatery which we would go to for lunch. It has been pain in the rear-end when deciding where to go for lunch. There are so many choices in the area where I work, so having something like this may ease the troublesome decision which we all make on a daily basis. I've also made use of the ned 8MB ADSL line by doing a bit of downloading and listening to online radio. Certainly makes a difference and if you guys can get it, then get it! I just read th...

Superman Snappy

Snap the man of steel and score points! My first attempt, I got 82. This will just have to do until I get a new camera.

Homeward Bound (For 2 Weeks)

We're setting off later this evening to UK for a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see Manchester and Ashton-under-Lyne again, not to mention to catch with friends and family and of course do a bit of driving! I haven't been driving for more than a year now since I have been in Taiwan, feels like my legs have gone! We're taking a lot pineapple cakes, which Taiwan is famous for, back to friends and family in UK, and some other gifts too. On the way back, we'll bring back all sorts of stuff to Taiwan, so another post on that when I get back. Not sure whether I'll be able to get online as often, but will try my best to keep my blog updated as much as possible while I am over in UK. My grand parents also arrived in UK from Hong Kong to attend my brother Jimmy's wedding. So time would probably be spent travelling around and take to places to see and have fun. Don't worry, as always, I'll be taking pictures! It will be Amelie's first time visit to UK...
