Hi all, hope you are all well, its been a while hasn't it? Many apologies for the lack of update. Recently I've been trying to find my feet with moving back home and all, and trying to find a direction I want to go. Its been difficult to say the least, and I have still not come to a conclusion as to what I want to do to move forward and find myself. Perhaps time will tell.
As you can see, Amelie has grown up a lot more since readers of the blog last saw her. She will be five years old later this year and will start reception class at Waterloo Primary School. I'm pleased to hear from the nursery teachers she has been developing well and making lots of new friends in class. However, I thought I would like to give my thanks to the nursery teachers, Mrs. Mulherin and Mrs Hafford for their outstanding effort, dedication and patience in taking Amelie under their wings for those 2 hours of the day.
Recently have been very hot here in my part of the world, and takes some time to getting used to. You may think "you just came back from a tropical country, surely this heat is nothing?". You may be correct to say this, but let's not forget that in Taiwan, every household, office, shopping centre, eatery, restaurant, bus, taxi, car, MRT trains and their stations all have the blessing of air-conditioning. Having a 9 inch desk fan blowing hot air in your face really doesn't compare or help when you trying to study a new complex product for testing. At this moment in time (thats 00:25am UK time), its still a sweltering 30 degrees C in my room. I hope I can get some sleep.
The family have been fine, just in case you are wondering. As usual, Chien-yu is battling against the evil hordes of recruitment agents trying to match her the right job. But, does it have to be the right job? Can they not match a job that's almost right with a view to learn new things? As for me, I am plodding along as usual being a jack of all trades. Perhaps its time to plump for a specialism? What do you think? Is being a jack of all trades a good skill to have in the eyes of a potential new employer?
Just to explain the picture, its a dinner outing to the new Ikea store which had opened in our town not long ago. Everyone in town seems to hate it, as its a big blue and yellow building in the centre of our quiet little town. Yet, whenever we go there for a little wander, there seems to be many people doing their ritual furniture shopping and measuring up. Is it really that bad? Go figure.
Well, I'll leave it at that for the moment. It has been a while, so I am not sure what to write. Perhaps more shall come soon. :-)
Wish you all well. Blog you soon.
