Rao-he Night Market, Taipei

Took the 311 bus from Ren-ai Road heading East towards an infamous night market on/near Rao-he Street.
This one is bigger than Tong-hua night market (the one closest to our home), but the foods sold are almost the same with a majority of the foods fried, which I cannot savour and eat.  However did come across some BBQ food which satisfied my hunger a little.  The most famous item here is the "Black Pepper Buns" which is stone-over cooked, with a thin crispy pastry and marinated black pepper sauce pork.  I remember having one of these a few years back and quite enjoyed it, even though it was a little spicy!  Well worth the visit to sample Taipei night market cuisine!

Amelie Back In Taiwan, Reunion With Mister Donuts

Amelie finally back in Taiwan!  Have missed her for three months, but have been busy at work, not had chance to catch up with her.  However, Amelie did some catching up herself...with her favourite Mister Donuts! You must cut down on those foods!

Its been a while!

Hey all, sorry, had been away for so long.  Sometimes have so many things going on and so many thoughts, not sure what to write. Life update is that we've moved out of the in-laws place, and renting an apartment in the city.  It's not brand new. No lifts, and we live on the top floor, but it's my home now. Just recently been in hospital for stomach ulcers causing internal bleeding.  Nightmare, when you wasn't allowed to eat or drink for 4 days.  But I'm back home now, but only this morning, I discovered I now have a gout attack.  FML. Anyway, life continues to surprise or annoy me in new and fascinating ways. Mimi is still with us by the way, always staying loyal and guarding. Until next time.

Goodbye P-100

I'm just going to upload the last ever set of photos from our loyal Sony P-100. I will update this post tomorrow. Yup, the Sony P-100 is a gonna. It ain't gonna rise from the ashes, this time... For now here are some photos taken today around Taipei using the Sony P-100 before the evening's accident, which involved Chien-yu, her foot and the hard marble floor we have in our room. We now got a good excuse to get a new, better digital camera. Its going to have to be a Sony one though, because I invested in a 1GB memory stick. Need to make use of that as much as I can! Sigh, money, money and more money.
