Typhoon Wukong

A new typhoon has been spotted not far from Japan, looks to be the final one for the Summer, perhaps. I will be keeping an eye on this one.

Last week's typhoon, Saomai, had brought lot of trouble for China, such that the Chinese government had mobilised 20,000 soldiers to help the troubled areas of Zhejiang and Fujian in a massive clean-up operation. You can find out more from this news report from the BBC.

On another note, sadly it the end of another weekend. Two days is just not enough. We stayed in for most of the day. We did go out for lunch a local small eatery serving very good Hong Kong style Wanton Soup Noodles and Congee. It was really good, and will go there again in the near future to take a couple of pictures.

Amelie Back In Taiwan, Reunion With Mister Donuts

Amelie finally back in Taiwan!  Have missed her for three months, but have been busy at work, not had chance to catch up with her.  However, Amelie did some catching up herself...with her favourite Mister Donuts! You must cut down on those foods!

Its been a while!

Hey all, sorry, had been away for so long.  Sometimes have so many things going on and so many thoughts, not sure what to write. Life update is that we've moved out of the in-laws place, and renting an apartment in the city.  It's not brand new. No lifts, and we live on the top floor, but it's my home now. Just recently been in hospital for stomach ulcers causing internal bleeding.  Nightmare, when you wasn't allowed to eat or drink for 4 days.  But I'm back home now, but only this morning, I discovered I now have a gout attack.  FML. Anyway, life continues to surprise or annoy me in new and fascinating ways. Mimi is still with us by the way, always staying loyal and guarding. Until next time.

Goodbye P-100

I'm just going to upload the last ever set of photos from our loyal Sony P-100. I will update this post tomorrow. Yup, the Sony P-100 is a gonna. It ain't gonna rise from the ashes, this time... For now here are some photos taken today around Taipei using the Sony P-100 before the evening's accident, which involved Chien-yu, her foot and the hard marble floor we have in our room. We now got a good excuse to get a new, better digital camera. Its going to have to be a Sony one though, because I invested in a 1GB memory stick. Need to make use of that as much as I can! Sigh, money, money and more money.
