Walk In The Neighbourhood

Feeling bored, with nothing better to do (and didn't want to stay at home with the in-laws), we decided to go for a walk just around the neighbourhood. Took some pictures along the way as usual, and discovered that there's going to be a big concert/stage show taking place near Taipei City Hall to bring in the 2007. I suspect its going to get pretty busy on New Year's Eve, especially near where we live. I hope I get to catch the fireworks from Taipei 101.

Happy Boxing Day!

Back in UK, everyone is taking the day off, and probably recovering from the Christmas aftermath today. But for me, I'm in the office working as usual. Man, I miss these Christmas holidays! Christmas just isn't the same overseas. Especially in Taiwan. Definately lacking the feel of Christmas around the neighbourhood, but the retailers around here still use is as a commercial tool to get us spending. Curses! Nevertheless, we still have a Christmas tree and presents to unwrapped. Today, Chien took the family (excluding me, since I'm working) to Taipei Zoo. Apparently Amelie was very happy to see many different animals and managed to name most of them too. She has seen them in her readining books, so she knows an Elephant when she sees one! Anyway, here are some pictures taken on the day.

Merry Christmas!

Just a quick note to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Nothing planned for me, since I have to be at work on Christmas day. Yes, Taiwan is one of those places where Christmas is not recognised as a public holiday, yet the retailers out there still uses it as a ploy to get us to buy stuff. I hope Jesus gets some royalty payment out of the retailers. Anyhow, hope you all have fun in the holiday period! Here's a nice picture of Amelie with a Christmas tree.

Parade - CHABA

I've been listening to a lot of Naruto-related music lately, music from the episode's intros and outros. They're pretty good, and I tried to find the original Japanese MTV's from the web. Thanks to YouTube, here's Parade by CHABA. This is one of the many outro songs from the Naruto television series. To complete it, here's the outros of Naruto which this song was used on.

Twelve Days 'Till Christmas

A little song... On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me A partridge in a pear tree. On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, An

Happy Birthday Grace!

Just quick birthday wishes to Grace! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Work Dinner

After a being in my current job for over a year now and the fact that most of the projects are coming to a close for the end of the year, the kind employers of mine treated us to a group dinner. Just want to say a quick thanks to Dianne for the treat and of course thanks to Jonathan, for organising the dinner at Momo Paradise, at Neo19, Taipei. Just some pics from the evening to share with you all, and also proof that I actually do work and not sit on my butt playing games!
