Seems like Amelie and her mum are having fun out and about while I am at home resting from my trip to the hospital. Well, at least she is out and about and getting some good fresh air! This one looks to be some kind of giant snow globe looking pretty with lights. Nice big grin from Amelie!

Seems Christmas will be upon us soon, and Amelie is soaking up the festive atmosphere with this nice white Christmas tree. God, I miss Christmas is UK, especially with the snow! Hope its a good one in Taipei this year!

Just a quick picture of me, still recovering after the operation at the hospital. Feeling much better, and able to walk around now that I have got my NT$5,000 back brace. Received many gifts of fruit from my colleagues and friends. Would like to say thanks to you all for your time and concern. I will continue on the road to recovery as best as possible!

Had a bit of trouble with my back recently. Slipped disc in the lower back region, rendering me unable to walk without shooting pains. So, another trip in the ambulance from the office to emergency room at Cathay Hospital near my home. Thanks to Alex Liang, my co-worker to accompanying me there. Within 3 hours, got admitted to a ward bed and scheduled an operation in 2 days. Must admit I am impress the speed of things in the hospital, compared to UK. Three hours in the operating theatre and I come out with this "scratch" on my back, nice work, less pain. Now on the road to recovery!

Took Amelie to Svenson's a local eatery for all things American and Italian. She just can't get enough of pasta! She's such a eating machine! I just cannot fathom where she find room in her stomach for all that food! We must watch out for what she eats now...wish me luck! More photos here .

Another creation from Amelie's after school class, this time in a form of a twisting drum! More evidence of where my money is going to! :-p

Just a quick note to mark my daughter's 6th birthday.  Time certainly flies!  Soon I will be beating her boyfriends away at the front door with a stick!  Ha!
