Toys!

Ever since being back in Taiwan, I've always have the hankering for the cool toys, models and figurines here. Here is a sample from the Dynasty Warriors 5 line, featuring Cao-Pi on the right, and some Sun family guy from the Musou series of the game. Not cheap, and don't do much but look pretty, but it makes me happy!

Milk!

Just a quick photo of Amelie enjoying her milk. Not sure why the face though...reminds me of the Pilsbury dough boy.

Liberty X - Thinking It Over

Not heard this in a while...nice!

Lantern Festival 2011 - SYS Memorial Park

Bit of a grey dreary day, decided to go to the SYS Memorial Hall to check out the lanterns. As this year is the year of the Rabbit, as you may have guessed, the lanterns are very much geared towards to the bunny genre. I'm sure it would look great at night, but I just couldn't be bothered with the thousands of people...hence the daylight version of the lantern festival this year! More photos here

Chun-li Buns

With Amelie's long hair, she can sport many different styles. Today's style of the day is Chun-li buns, together with a cheeky smile.

Pasta Eating Machine

Quick picture of the pasta eating machine known as Amelie. She really needs to find some alternatives...I can't take pasta every day!

At The Arcades

Just a quick photo of Amelie enjoying one of my favourite past times! Very old school motorbike arcade racing! Ah, those were the days!

Strawberry City and the Chocolate Factory - Da Hu (大湖)

A weekend trip outside of the city to Da Hu (大湖), famed for strawberries and any food made from strawberries...and we're not talking about just jam and sweets, but even strawberry meatballs in soup. Its an acquire taste for sure! After picking the strawberries in the sun, we next headed to the chocolate factory, called Schokolake, in the area making chocolate lollipops. Most fun, especially for Amelie who likes to get her fingers messy in melted chocolate! More photos here .

Amelie's First 3D Cinema Experience

With a new Disney film, decided to take Amelie to watch "Tangled", a Disney's take on the classic children's story of Rupunzel...all in 3D. Amelie certainly enjoyed the film, and watching it in 3d for the first time seems to make her appreciate cinemas and films more! Lets hope there's more movie going opportunities in the future!

Designer handbags a la Amelie

There is a bit of a creative streak in Amelie. She really does like arts and crafts and teachers had given good comments on her pictures and drawing skills. Perhaps it should be an area for her to develop eh? Maybe there's an artist in the family!
