Tricycle Fun

Amelie tried out her new tricycle at the SYS Memorial. Kind of hoping she will get the idea of what pedalling is, but perhaps she's a bit lazy. So most of the time, it was us who pushing her along. Anyhow, here's a couple of videos of her on her trike.

High As A Kite - Part 2

Some more photos from the kite flying day. Amelie seemed to have a lot of fun. She wanted to fly the kite too, but the winds were pretty strong. I think I was lucky to even to get the kite flying up, but consider it was my first go, I think I did alright. Had to run a little of course, well, had to run backwards even, but it was the only sure fire way of getting the kite up in the air. I flew until I ran out of wire/string. It looked pretty high. I wondered if I could get it any higher if I had more string/wire for the kite. Maybe something to try next weekend. I think Amelie got a little bored after a while, so she went of climbing stairs again with her mother. Kids... never satisfied, always looking for something else to do!

High As A Kite - Part 1

We went for walks on Sunday, just so to get out of the house. We didn't go very far, just to SYS Memorial Hall since the weather was clear and dry, just a bit on the chilly side with some wind. In fact, I have started to feel cold in Taiwan now, when this time last year I was OK with the dip in temperatures. Its about 13 degrees celcius in Taiwan at the moment. Back in UK, this would have been nothing, but I think I am starting to climatise to the weather in Taiwan. Which is good I suppose, as when summer comes, I shouldn't get so hot and bothered, but as always, there is a downside in that if I go back to UK, I would be freezing my knackers off. Anyway, here's a few photos taken on the day where I flew my first kite in Taiwan. We bought a bright red Pikachu (from Pokemon) kite for about $150 from one of the vendor grannies who patrol the SYS area selling their wares.

Picasa & Blogger

Not a bad combination, and the thing is, its actually quick and user friendly. I normally have a lot of photographs which I like to share on my blog. Alright, not all of them brilliant, but I like to share them nonetheless. Having Picasa to organise the photographs and allowing me to upload (a maximum of four) photos per post saves me a lot of time and effort. I think I will use this Picasa/Blogger combination for posts with photographs, and use the email-to-blog feature for post of a textual nature. I think I found a good combination which works. Do you use other ways to blog? What do you think? Let me know, it will be interesting to find out.
