Last day of 2010

What a year, lots of travelling back and forth and ups and down at work and trips to the hospital, but, made it through another year through the skin on my teeth. I really do hope 2011 brings more happiness to my life...I kind of need it. But alas, perhaps I am asking too much. I just hope for a healthier, smooth year, so that my stress can be controlled without it controlling my life. Here's to a fresh start to 2011! More photos here .

Air hockey fun

Decided to take Amelie to the amusement park at Ming Yao department store for some fun. I thought it would be fun to play some air hockey, only to be beaten by Amelie, a 6 year old, 6-4. Dang!

Merry Christmas 2010!

Quick message to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! Hope you all have fun and have a great time with all your loved ones! Since Christmas is not an official holiday in Taiwan, there were still a lot of things going on around the city. For us, we headed to the newly opened department store Hankyu for a little wander. Amelie seems to like the video shown on the wall for Christmas, featuring a peeing reindeer. She finds that most amusing! More photos here .

Amelie's Christmas School Performance - Taiwan Style

Made it out of the hospital and managed to attends Amelie's first Christmas performance at her school in Taiwan. Very different from what it is in UK. I think I prefer the UK one though, but the Taiwanese one certainly puts Amelie to her wits in keeping sync with the other children in their rally and dance! Lets hope it gets better next year! 加油! Curry and ramen noodles?

More after school eating action, this time in a restaurant selling curry rice with ramen noodles as a combo! Very strange mix, but it seems to serve Amelie's eating cravings well!

More after school wanderings

Amelie tends to get around a lot after school. No idea where her mum takes her, but at a guess, looks like the food court in the newly opened Hankyu Department store near Taipei City Hall MRT station. I wonder whether its any good there?

Its healing!

Still getting on with the recovery business, and the wound so far looks good. Bit of pain wearing the back brace just to go to the loo though...must be patient, few more months to go.
