Boxing Day Hot Pot

Rather than eating the left overs from Christmas Day, we went for the "traditional" hot pot for Boxing Day dinner. It was great, especially in the snowy cold weather to keep ourselves warm for those wintry nights. You just can't a good hot pot Chinese stlye. More photos here .

Merry Christmas 2009!

Christmas Tree Lights

With Christmas coming, I always like to buy Christmas lights and decorate the house to make it a little more festive. I came across these green Christmas tree lights to put around the window and thought they looked quite nice. Also got some blue snoflake lights too which you can see here . Amelie likes Christmas a lot, with the lights and presents. Hope she has been good enough this year for Santa to bring her presents!

Snow Getting Heavy!

Snow have been getting heavy for the last couple of days, perhaps we will get a white Christmas afterall! But its a pain trying to get out and about to do the shopping and hear lots of stories on the news about people being stranded. But Amelie and I still love the snow! I wonder how much we'll get this year? More photos here .

Snow! Snow! Snow!

First day of snow! Seeing the white flakes falling from the sky makes me so happy and giddy! I couldn't resist to go out there in the early morning and build something for Amelie. She loves the snow too. Let's hope we'll get a white Christmas! More photos here .

Wong Dai Hsin

After the hearty breakfast with char-siu, I headed to "our" temple, Wong Dai Hsin with Grandma, to get some guidance and pray to say thank you to Wong Dai Hsin for all he has done for our family. For that, got these joss-sticks for praying. Hope Wong Dai Hsin liked them.

Char-Siu Roast Pork...For Breakfast!

My last day in Hong Kong, and my Grandma gets up really early to go to the local market to buy some of this freshly roast Char-Siu pork to go with my instant noodles for breakfast. What a way to start the day! Even my aunt sneaked a few pieces before she left for work in the morning! Thank you Grandma!
